Notice of Prescribed Burn in Hemel-en-Aarde Valley Today 26.07.2022

Overstrand Fire and Rescue is conducting a prescribed burn/fuel reduction burn at the municipal farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley on the Camphill road today, 26 July 2022.

Controlled burns are the most practical way to reduce fire fuel loads.

Residents will see some smoke and occasional flare-ups.

The Fire Department is on scene and fire fighters will patrol and monitor the burn.
