WINDY CONDITIONS AND DAMAGING WAVES IN THE OVERSTRAND AREA.
The South African Weather Services (SAWS) issued a weather warning for the Overstrand area for Thursday 11 August 2022 at 20:00 until Sunday, 14 August 2022 at 00:00.
SPRING TIDE will also occur on Saturday, bringing a higher-than-average high tide.
Wave heights of 4 - 6 m can be expected between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas speading to Plettenberg Bay on Saturday and subsiding from the west on Sunday.
Strong north-westerly winds (50-65km/h) are also expected along the south-west coast on Thursday night. Strong north-westerly winds (50 - 70km/h) expected for the WC coastline from Saturday morning changing to south-westerly in the afternoon.
