The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is excited to invite the public, local community, and stakeholders to its open day on 5 October 2024 at the SANSA Hermanus facility, located on Hospital Street.
This event will offer a variety of engaging activities for kids aged 6+ including science shows, interactive workshops and a snack. Children will have the opportunity to craft and launch their own rockets, participate in literature programs, and enjoy a range of other fun, educational activities that will spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists. The kid’s activities will start at 10:00 until 13:45
The event will also feature several public talks in the Space Weather Auditorium. Attendees can RSVP in advance on the SANSA website for sessions that interest them, as space is limited.
Local vendors will add to the festive atmosphere, with food stalls serving a variety of delicious food, drinks and unique craft stalls showcasing local talent. Registrations for interested vendors have been closed.
Please note that parking will not be available inside the SANSA premises. However, parking will be provided along Church Street, adjacent to the SANSA Hermanus facility. Security and marshals will be in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
