The South African National Space Agency is proud to announce its ISO 9001: 2015 certification for the SANSA Hermanus facility. ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). Organisations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
The adoption of a Quality Management System is a strategic decision for SANSA to deliver quality products and services. Pictured is Dr Lee-Anne McKinnell, SANSA Hermanus Managing Director and Keenan Janneker, Space Weather Project Lead.
Dr McKinnell says the SANSA Hermanus team spent three years working on preparations to achieve the ISO 9001:2015 standard. “ISO certification is a significant step towards sustainability for our facility and for the SANSA programmes. We can all be extremely proud of this achievement.”
