Danny Myburgh and Marc Moser welcome you to The Vishuis.
The Vishuis is a heritage site and used to be the dwellings for fishermen, a long time ago when Hermanus was still known as a small Fishermans’ village.
The cottages and suites have been restored and modernized yet still retain their original charm. Contemporary African inspired interiors complement each room and the local art on the walls add a splash of colour to your relaxed stay. No expense has been spared and The Vishuis offers added comfort with plush cotton bedding and anti-allergenic pillows to ensure a peaceful night's sleep.
When you aren’t out exploring the Overberg, find yourself anchored in the courtyard or relaxing next to the communal swimming pool on warm summer days.
Danny and Marc are always available for advice, recommendations and suggestions on what to do in town, and can assist you with your adventure bookings and restaurant reservations.

“Gorgeous and bespoke from the entrance with the lavender enclosed courtyard to the artwork and bedspreads in the suites. Everything is handpicked and beautiful. The Vishuis is within walking distance to town and the fireplace in the winter is superb. Mark was super organized and allowed for an early check-in which was wonderful.” Jillian
“What a gem, the most beautiful cottage in the heart of Hermanus, with an amazing owner, Danny. The little touches Danny so lovingly created were so appreciated. I have already booked my next weekend away at The Vishuis.” Tracey, Facebook
“Lovely, what a little gem of a place! This guesthouse is beautiful, from the rooms to the gorgeous courtyard. There are restaurants and bars all within walking distance, near the seafront. Marc was lovely and always on hand for recommendations on where to eat and what to do in town. I highly recommend this place and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.” A lucky lady, Tripadvisor
