28 May 2022: DIE BARS Mark
Have a look yourself at DIE BARS (entrance opposite Victoria Hotel) in Bredasdorp.
The Baardskeerdersbos Art Route is known as the oldest of its kind in South Africa. This event (twice yearly) is celebrating its 11th year and I'm honoured to participate again 27 - 28 April. This time I'm the guest artist of Amanda Jephson (nr. 14 on the map). I will present some new work (merely single pieces) next to the existing range of small series. You are welcome to visit me.
Yvonne de Wit
Yvonne de Wit studied Fine Art in the Netherlands and lives since 19 years in South Africa.
Mesmerized by the colourful pallet of the Overberg mountains she began to collect stones and soils. After a few land art projects, she started to combine her collection of earth particles with copper, brass and sterling silver into pieces of jewellery that reflect the land in a different way.
Each piece is an ode to Mother Earth.
A second line is jewellery created from recycled scrap metals, merely plumbing material.
Her jewellery is recognised by a growing number of jewellery collectors around the globe for their design originality and the use (combination) of natural resources.
SOLD
Not the model (Abigail) but the necklace. This single piece went to a collector of jewellery designs in Europe together with some other pieces.
