About

Chelsea Flowers in Stanford 2025 is your opportunity to see South Africa’s award-winning floral exhibition, exactly as it appeared at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London.

Acclaimed horticulturist Leon Kluge, whose design also won gold in 2024, described this year’s display as the biggest yet, featuring up to 25,000 stems of fynbos cut flowers.

RHS President Keith Weed CBE presented Kluge and his team with the prestigious Lawrence Medal, awarded to the best floral exhibit across all RHS shows in a calendar year. This marks the first time South Africa has received the honour.

To date, South Africa has earned 39 gold medals at this celebrated international event.

The Exhibit

Chelsea Flowers in Stanford showcases South Africa’s internationally acclaimed floral display, fresh from the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London.

Inspired by the meeting of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans at the southern tip of Africa, this year’s exhibit celebrates the extraordinary ecosystems that flourish where these mighty seas converge.

Dramatic canyons, waterfalls and cliffs reflect South Africa’s iconic landscapes and are brought to life with a rich variety of indigenous flowers. The display features plants from the lush highlands, escarpments and the world-famous Cape Floral Kingdom, capturing the country’s natural diversity and striking beauty.

Two towering mountain slopes, blanketed in the textures, colours and scents of 25,000 fynbos stems, are divided by a shimmering ravine, evoking the magic of a hidden Cape waterfall in full spring bloom.
