La Casita Stanford Self-Catering is a cosy Mexican-inspired studio cottage for two just a stone's throw from La Cantina restaurant and bar. With its private entrance, covered outdoor veranda and braai area, you can spend time relaxing at La Casita Stanford Self-Catering when you aren’t out exploring the local wine farms and hiking trails. La Casita Stanford Self-Catering’s open-plan layout is tastefully furnished and decorated with an authentic Spanish hacienda in mind. The kitchenette is equipped with everything you will need to create meals and has load-shedding-friendly amenities. There is a living area with a couch and dining table, and a designated workspace makes the cottage perfect for digital nomads. There is a comfortable double bed in the studio's recess, and the bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet. La Casita Stanford Self-Catering welcomes well-behaved four-legged amigos!

About

La Casita Stanford Self-Catering’s owners Lyn and Mark Krebser hail from Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) in the Eastern Cape.

After visiting and falling in love with Stanford, Lyn and Mark decided to relocate to the village. They opened La Casita Self-Catering and an authentic Mexican restaurant and bar, La Cantina Stanford, at the beginning of 2023.

When asked what they love most about Stanford the couple says the authentic village atmosphere and friendly community won their hearts. The outdoor country landscape is also a bonus, and exploring the countryside when they are not entertaining guests is a repeat adventure!

The generator only runs when the restaurant is open (Mondays and Tuesdays closed)

Rates

The rates at La Casita Stanford Self-Catering are as follows:

November - April

R1,100 per night for the unit

May - October

R800 per night for the unit

Cancellation Policy

21 to 28 days before arrival: forfeit 25% of the deposit
14 to 21 days before arrival: forfeit 50% of the deposit
Less than 14 days before arrival: forfeit the full deposit
The full deposit will be forfeited for cancellations between 15 December and 10 January
Non-arrivals will be charged the full accommodation amount

La Cantina Stanford

La Casita Stanford Self-Catering is a few steps away from the popular La Cantina, an authentic Mexican street food restaurant and bar.

Serving a mouthwatering selection of traditional favourites prepared in a wood-fired oven, you can enjoy delicious burritos, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and chilli con carne with lashings of sour cream and fresh guacamole. Fully licensed, La Cantina specialises in margaritas and lots of tequila! There is a wine list with local vino, beer and spirits, daily happy hours and live broadcasts of sporting events.

“We had a fantastic stay at La Casita Stanford Self-Catering. It is beautifully decorated, vibrant and in the theme of a mini-Mexican hacienda. Comfortable bed in a spacious cottage. Great outdoor area with a braai. The hosts also own the Mexican restaurant next door, and we highly recommend having a meal there.
