Sunset Visits at Panthera Africa
Join us for a truly magical evening as the sun sets and our magnificent big cats awaken.
We are excited to offer a position and welcome a new pride member to our team. The position is ideal for someone with experience in tourism marketing, the non-profit sector and who has a great passion for responsible tourism and big cats.
The following skills and qualities are required:
• solid independent worker with great initiative
• strong team player
• well-spoken and good command of the English language (spoken and written)
• brilliant people skills
• thorough understanding of social media and online experience
• excellent presentation skills
• passionate about our cause
• trustworthy, positive, extrovert, creative, organised and versatile.
The candidate will work in close relation with the managing director as an independent and pivotal team member. The main purpose of the position is to market our cause, secure and increase visitor numbers to the sanctuary, grow our market awareness and bring in new business.
Main tasks include:
• calling on guest houses/hotels in the Gansbaai-Stanford-Hermanus area and surrounds
• dealing with tour operators, journalists and film crews, and advertising requests
• attending shows and markets
• writing of press releases
• arranging radio and TV interviews
• managing the marketing and social media strategy
• organising and assisting with events.
Candidate must be prepared to live in Gansbaai, Stanford or Hermanus. The salary package will be commensurate with experience. Marketing degree and speaking Afrikaans a plus.
