Theewaterskloof Golf Club has a stunning 9-hole, 18-tee golf course with a choice of white or red tees to play.
Starting with stroke 5, par 5 from the clubhouse, the course takes a circular route around the country estate on the edge of the Theewaterskloof Dam.
The route plays towards and next to the dam for the first 4 holes and then up and around the estate’s houses back to the clubhouse from the 5th hole to the 9th.
Enjoy a meal or cold drink at the Halfway House restaurant and pub with light lunch items and full bar facilities available. Then continue for the 2nd 9-holes playing toward the same hole as the first 9 but from different tees delivering a different approach on each hole.
The course offers 5 par 5's, 5 par 3's and 8 par 4's.
Theewaterskloof Golf Club’s driving range overlooks the Theewaterskloof Dam by 170m at its maximum.
From this spectacular vantage point, you can practise your golf swing technique in a range area that includes the following amenities:
It’s called a driving range because golfers go there to practise their golf shots, which are usually drives. A drive is a long-distance shot that is meant to hit the ball down the fairway towards the green. Finding the best golf driver for beginners will help if you’re new to the game.
If you are new to golf, a driving range is a nice place to go where you can practice and improve your game without any pressure.
First, you have to purchase a bucket of balls. They usually come in small (30–50 balls), medium (50-80 balls), or large (80-150 balls). You can play using your golf clubs or in most cases, you can borrow them from the facility.
Next, choose your spot. The area is wide open so make sure you plan if it’s a sunny day.
There are distance markers and targets set up for you to try and hit.
When you’re finished, return the bucket to its designated area and any clubs you may have borrowed.
Theewaterskloof Golf Club’s fees are as follows:

“A huge shout-out to the staff and management at Theewaterskloof Golf Club. The course was in immaculate condition. The friendly stall made us feel like part of the family. For anyone wanting an awesome golfing experience, this course is a must!” David Herman
“What an amazing place to spend the day. Great course to play, but I was drawn to the clubhouse. They have a lovely simple menu and great food. I have been here a few times and the pizzas are my favourite. A special thanks to the team at Theewaterskloof Golf Club for the great service and warm friendly welcome.” Timothy Steven Van der Merwe
“What a great course to play on my final few days in South Africa. We were greeted by a lovely lady at the Theewaterskloof Golf Club early in the morning. We had a great chicken burger after our first 9 holes and then as we having a drink at the 19th hole we bumped into a little springbok who was incredibly tame. It was a real pleasure to see the little one up so close. I highly recommend this golf course with its beautiful backdrop. I will be playing again and it was well worth the drive to see this little beauty of a course. It is only a 9-hole course playing off separate tee boxes but challenging enough for a first-time player to get in trouble if too confident on the second nine. Just as I discovered.” Corey Osman
