"Our Youth Café is tailored to enhance the community in which it is embedded and offers a variety of youth empowerment initiatives to bring information and services closer to the community. The Café aims to be a space where the youth can develop and hone their skills, talents, thoughts, and inspirations into a reality."
South Africa’s Villiersdorp branch of the Youth Café enhances the community it serves by offering youth empowerment initiatives that deliver empowering information and uplifting services. The café aims to be a space where youth can develop and hone their skills, talents, thoughts, and inspirations into a reality.
The Department of Social Development co-funds the Youth Café managed by VPUU - Violence Prevention Through Urban Upgrading. VPUU NPC is an area-based community development programme that aims for safe and integrated communities, citizenship, pride and the improvement of quality of life for the residents in local neighbourhoods in partnership with local communities, the public sector and other interested parties.
Youth Cafés provide youth with a platform where they can access skills and personal development training, economic and social development opportunities and creative spaces where they can express themselves on a local and global scale.
Exciting programmes provide support, services and opportunities for youth between the ages of 16 to 25 years who are not in employment, education or training.
The Youth Café Villiersdorp provides a wide range of services, opportunities and support to young people and their families. The programme builds on strengths through skills development, leadership training, mentoring and transition through life’s different stages.
Youth Café Villiersdorp aims to be a space where the youth can develop and hone their skills, talents, thoughts, and inspirations into a reality. Courses include, but are not limited to:
