How to Make Whale Season Work for Your Busine...
Whale season on the Cape Whale Coast isn’t just magical - for communities living in the Overberg, it’s marketing gold.
Gansbaai is abuzz with excitement! One of its own, Geon Nel stars in Kelders van Geheime, eTV's first Afrikaans sitcom. The long-awaited soapie is slated to become South Africa’s new 7de Laan, so there is lots to celebrate.
Filmed on a real working wine farm, Kelders van Geheime takes viewers to the heart of Franschhoek Winelands. The story is based on a fictional community living on Soebatskloof, mainly focusing on the Marais, Syster and Abrahams households.
Geon, who grew up in Gansbaai, portrays the role of winemaker Tjoppie Marais.
Kelders van Geheime invites you to share in the lives of Tjoppie and other characters, brought together by their work in and around the vineyards of Soebatskloof. Like real life, you can expect many juicy stories about love, dreams, betrayal, greed, heartache and secrets.
Along with new faces and fresh talent, the telenovela boasts a line-up of legendary local actors known from their past roles in iconic Afrikaans TV soaps that include M-Net’s Egoli, SABC 2’s 7de Laan and kykNET's Nêrens Noord-Kaap.
You can see Geon in Kelders van Geheime exclusively on eTV from Mondays to Fridays at 18:00, and on Sundays at 15:30 on eExtra for the repeat omnibus.
