Xplorio To Further Subsidise Membership Fees

Dear Xplorio Community Member,

It’s been eight weeks since COVID-19 became an unwelcome guest in our lives. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been negatively affected by the ensuing lockdown restrictions.

Given the struggle that we as business owners are facing, Xplorio has decided to continue to temporarily subsidise membership fees by 40% for a further two months (June and July 2020). While we are also facing much financial pressure, we feel it necessary to continue to share the economic burden. This stance will be revised in the coming months, however, we remain focused on finding the best way to serve our communities.

Xplorio is committed to empowering communities in the Overberg and we have been adapting our strategies to be relevant in these times. We are happy to report that our I 💙 Overberg campaign video was watched more than 50,000 times and was shared on social media over 1,000 times, that’s a whole lot of love! We also celebrated an Xplorio first by being featured in 2 radio interviews! It really was wonderful to share The Power of Community and our vision for the future, on-air. 

Another important mention is our new COVID-related functionality that is available to use on your Xplorio profile. This functionality enables you to communicate specifics about your business that have changed in light of the current lockdown restrictions - allowing your customers to stay informed. We are also currently conducting check-in calls with all our members to offer assistance, and ensure their profiles are relevant and updated. If we haven’t spoken to you yet, expect to hear from us soon. Regardless of the circumstances, it really is great hearing everyone’s voices again. 

We draw comfort from the fact that these uncertain times have inspired a true sense of community togetherness. It really is heart-warming to see the speed and efficiency with which the many social benefit projects have been established. This willingness to share and take care of each other makes us feel blessed to live in the Overberg and so proud to be South African.
