Safety First

At the blood bank, blood donors and blood recipients are the main priority. By using the latest world-class technology and research methods, the Western Cape Blood Service ensures health and safety excellence in the science of transfusion medicine. Each year the organisation collects an excess of 150,000 units of safe blood that gets used to impact the lives of more than 455,000 people. These people are mothers, fathers and children in your community and could even include your loved ones.
