After a two-year sabbatical, top restaurateur Jonathan Engelbrecht is back in town, bringing with him his ever-popular Benguela Restaurant. The combination of a passion for food and wine, extreme attention to detail, vast product knowledge and impeccable personalised service is what Jonathan refers to as a ‘Refined Dining Experience’. Now he and his partner, Architect Handre’ du Toit, promise to enchant with a feast not only for the stomach but for the eye too.

Benguela first opened it’s doors in 2009 after Jonathan was told a restaurant wouldn't work in the area. A combination of this challenge and of being a total perfectionist resulted in what has surely been one of the most glamorous and highly reviewed restaurants in the Overberg.
