Dogs of War Overberg's Cancer Fundraiser Event

Our local military veteran’s biker club, The Dogs of War Overberg, is gearing up for an extraordinary fundraising event this Saturday, 21st October. 

Revving Up for a Cause: Cancer Fundraising Day

The Dogs of War Overberg all love the thrill of the open road and the camaraderie that comes with it, but they're also deeply committed to their local community. This Saturday, the club is shifting gears from their usual adventures to support a cause that touches many lives: cancer.

Shave - Spray - Donate

What makes this event truly unique is the willingness of these bikers to go the extra mile for the greater good. 100% of all donations will be going towards supporting this worthy cause, right here in Gansbaai!

From 11:00 to 18:00, they will be at three venues consecutively, offering you the chance to "Shave or Spray" your hair for a donation.

The Event Schedule - Pick One or Support Them All!

The Shave or Spray Fundraiser will happen at three well-known pubs on Saturday and you can pick one of them or support them all.

Kuslangs (11:00 - 13:00)

Kickstart your Saturday by heading to Kuslangs in Franskraal. Get a fresh new look by shaving your hair, add a pop of colour with a temporary spray or just donate. Your choice, your style, all for a good cause.

Buitesteen (13:30 - 15:30)

After your transformation at Kuslangs, make your way to Buitesteen in De Kelders and continue to make a difference.

Oppidek (16:00 - 18:00)

Finally, wrap up your day at Oppidek, overlooking Gansbaai Harbour, where the bikers will still be going strong. Join the event, meet the incredible people behind it, and unite to stand against cancer together.

Making a Difference - One Head at a Time

The concept of "Shave or Spray" is fast becoming a fixture on the annual fundraising calendar. 

Whether you are a daring soul ready to part with your locks or someone who prefers a temporary change, the Dogs of War Overberg has got you covered. 

Worried about the spray? No need! It washes out easily after the event. All donations, big or small, are welcome and will go directly to supporting local Overberg residents who need a helping hand in their battle against cancer.

If you have really long hair you would like to donate so that it can be used to make wigs for cancer patients, speak to the hairdresser who will be handling the day’s shaving option for the best way forward.

Rugby Fans Unite: Green & Gold for the Bokke

So now you are all shaved or sprayed and ready for action? Well, have we got news for you! The day is not all about fundraising! It’s also about team spirit. The event coincides with a World Cup Rugby-filled weekend, and the members of Dogs of War Overberg have a special message for all rugby fans.

If you are at any of the venues and want extra green and gold support for the Bokke, one of the riders will colour you up so that there is no doubt about who it is you are shouting for.
