Capt. Robert Stanford used this harbour to send his fresh produce to the Cape. It is a safe bathing and popular picnic spot with magnificent milkwood trees. There is a freshwater fountain at Flenterga.

The only freshwater cave along the African coast.
The mineral-rich pool is said to have healing qualities and was visited by Lady Ann Barnard in 1798.

A very deep hole in the rocks.
Legend has it that horses from the stranded HMS Birkenhead swam ashore at this spot.
Originally named "Duiwegat" (pigeonhole), because of the rock pigeons that build their nests in the hole.
A wall was built around the hole to prevent cattle from falling in.
These caves formed shelters for the early Strandlopers (beachcombers). On-going archaeological research is performed here. End of hiking trail.
Excellent spot for steenbras fishing.

Dolphins, penguins, whales (June - December), seals, dassies and otters can be seen along the trail.
