Flower Valley’s Early Learning Centre is currently enrolling new scholars for 2016.
The centre provides a holistic education to children aged two to six. It is based on Flower Valley Farm, giving children access to the Farm’s rich biodiversity and conservation philosophy.
The centre can take up to 27 children. It’s divided into two classes, accommodating children aged two to four, and then a Grade R class for children prior to Primary School. The Flower Valley practitioners work to ensure children are ready for school by the time they leave the centre.
The school is also a member of the Eco-Schools programme, and received its Platinum Certificate this year for being involved in the programme for nine years. Flower Valley is the longest serving member of the programme in the Overberg. Through Eco-Schools, children learn to live sustainably and close to nature.
The school makes use of a bus service to transport children to the grounds daily. The bus picks up the children at various points along the route, and returns in the early afternoon.
For more information on the Centre, and how to enter your child, contact the Centre’s Principal, Jimmona Schuuman. Email: jimmona@flowervalley.co.za; or Tel. 028 388 0713.
