Conservationist Jacques Pretorius invites you to join him for an eco-friendly adventure into endemic fynbos on a pedal-assist, electric bike. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, Jacques will give you exclusive insights into the rare ecosystems that Gansbaai calls home. E-bikes and helmets are included in the tours with a guided option available for riders who bring their equipment. Funbos Bikes offers group tours and outings for couples, combining adventure, education, and relaxation.

Funbos Bikes is run by Jacques Pretorius.

Jacques has his Master's Degree in Environmental Management and has worked as a guide at award-winning destinations such as Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Grootbos Private Nature Reserve.

In 2024 he realised his dream of owning his own business and started Funbos Bikes.

Powered by his passion for the beauty of our planet, Jacques takes you through critically endangered Elim ferricrete fynbos and Overberg sandstone fynbos. The experience is about adventure, education, and relaxation.

When he is not doing E-bike conservation tours, you will find Jacques out E-biking in nature, something he never tires of.

Cancellation Policy

Full payment is required upon booking
A full refund will be given if 48 hours notice or more is given
50% refund if 24 hours notice is given
No refunds for on-the-day cancellations
