Saterdag, 7 September 2024 se boothengelkompetisie van die Birkenhead Boothengelklub het ‘enorme’ visse opgelewer, terwyl slegs 4 bote ingeskryf en ingeweeg het. Twee geelsterte van onderskeidelik 5.45kg en 4.35kg is maar enkele voorbeelde van die vangstes.

4 bote het ingeskryf, waarvan 4 ingeweeg het. Die totale bemanningslede was 13, waarvan 1 ‘n dame was. 9 spesies is ingeweeg, met 'n totale massa van 115.69kg. Die gemiddelde massa per hengelaar was 8.90kg.
