Gans-Berg News | 5 December 2025 Edition
Here’s a quick look at this week’s highlights, community updates, and important notices happening.
"I see my appointment as Gansbaai Tourism's new Manager as an exciting challenge and I am looking forward to it," said Patricia, who officially started on 1 November 2024, succeeding Glenda Kitley, the previous Manager who retired after 28 years.
Patricia acknowledges the "big shoes" she has to fill and is eager to bring fresh ideas while appreciating Glenda's continued community involvement. The existing Tourism Office team - Maureen Valentine, Ayanda Kotani, and Marlon Pieterse - remains unchanged, ensuring the familiar friendly service continues. Despite her appointment coinciding with the busy festive season, Patricia is confident about her role, drawing from her 38 years of experience in corporate, hospitality, and marketing.
She fell in love with Gansbaai 12 years ago when her parents retired there, moved permanently eight years ago, and has since been a passionate ambassador for the town. Working closely with Xplorio, she has cultivated strong community ties and is enthusiastic about supporting and enhancing Gansbaai’s tourism efforts. With an open-door policy, she invites ideas to contribute to the town’s success. The Gans-Berg News wishes Patricia success in her new role, trusting in her ability to benefit Greater Gansbaai.
