Business Information

Gansbaai Farmer’s Market was established in 2018 when the Grootbos Foundation approached the Gansbaai Municipality, and the Gansbaai Tourism Bureau, with funding and the incentive to start a community project.

The Grootbos Foundation is a non-profit organization that proactively works towards uplifting local communities in-and-around Gansbaai. As winners of the Best Responsible Tourism Town Award in 2015, Gansbaai Tourism Bureau saw the incentive as the perfect opportunity to practise its ethos and became the custodians.

Glenda Kitley, Gansbaai’s long standing tourism manager, ensures the market runs smoothly with input from Gansbaai area manager Kat Myburgh and the tourism committee.
