Season's Greetings from i-MED africa!
As the year winds down, we want to take a moment to wish everyone a joyful and restful festive season.
We are thrilled to highlight the incredible work of Antonia, one of our dedicated i-MED volunteers and a child psychiatrist, who worked alongside Shereen to refine and facilitate the Psychological First Aid programme.
Together, they led a powerful half-day workshop for our i-MED students, introducing them to the C.A.R.E approach:
• Comfort: Offer immediate emotional and physical support
• Assess: Identify needs and safety risks
• Respond: Provide resources and guidance to address concerns
• Empower: Help individuals regain control and build resilience
This invaluable training ensures that our students are equipped with the essential tools to provide thoughtful, effective support to those in need. We are proud of their dedication and the impact they are making in their communities!
