Prioritising Mental Health
This month we’ve been focusing on mental health at the Gansbaai clinic.

We are thrilled to highlight the incredible work of Antonia, one of our dedicated i-MED volunteers and a child psychiatrist, who worked alongside Shereen to refine and facilitate the Psychological First Aid programme.
Together, they led a powerful half-day workshop for our i-MED students, introducing them to the C.A.R.E approach:

• Assess: Identify needs and safety risks
• Respond: Provide resources and guidance to address concerns

This invaluable training ensures that our students are equipped with the essential tools to provide thoughtful, effective support to those in need. We are proud of their dedication and the impact they are making in their communities!
