Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze Whaler sharks, Short-tail Stingray, Common dolphins, Southern Right whales, African penguin + Cape fur seal
Summary: Another day on the water that couldn’t have been better! Fantastic shark activity and calm seas made for an amazing time on board. On our way out towards our dive site, we came across a smaller pod of Common Dolphins, coming close to our boat! Arriving at anchor, divers were soon in their wetsuits and ready for their up-close encounter with our marine life. Bronze whaler sharks arrived first, with active individuals throughout the trip. The Short-tail stingray and Cape fur seal also made an appearance, offering encounters with more than one species. Our guests also had the chance to see a critically endangered African Penguin and two Southern Right whales. Thank you to everyone who joined us today!
