Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze Whaler shark, Broadnose Sevengill shark, Cape Fur seals, Short-Tail stingray + Southern Right whale
Summary: After a day on land due to the weather, we finally headed out to Joubertsdam for Shark cage diving! Launching out of Kleinbaai harbour with some swell and stronger wind, it did not take long before we reached our dive site for the day! Our divers got geared up, and the waiting game could begin! A few minutes passed, and our first Bronze whaler shark appeared! This shark did not stay long, but gave us some nice close looks from the boat! We also had two hunting Cape fur seals, a quick visit from a Short-tail Stingray! Towards the end of our trips, we got some beautiful sightings from a favourite, the Broadnose Sevengill shark! Heading back to the harbour, we also got a quick sighting of a Southern right whale! Thanks to everyone for joining us today!
