The funeral industry is not simply a business for the Windt family, but a true calling. With pride and dignity, they have devoted themselves to serving their community during life’s most difficult moments.

Since opening their doors in 2001 as Windt Broers, founded by Adriaan and Magda Windt, the team has supported families with compassion and care. 

In 2013, the business was renamed Nashca Funerals, an amalgamation of Natasha and Adrishca, their daughters’ names. Family values remain at the heart of everything they do, shaping a business that understands and supports other families.

Nashca Funerals offers peace of mind through 24-hour personal and professional service, available 365 days a year, whether clients are policyholders or not. The Windt family is deeply respectful of the cultural, ethnic and religious traditions of those they serve, recognising that the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and often overwhelming experience.

Adriaan Windt, trading as Nashca Funerals, is a representative of the underwriter KGA Life Limited, a registered insurer and authorised financial services provider (FSP 15980).

Nashca Funerals is also a proud member of the National Funeral Federation of South Africa (NFDA).

What Nashca Funerals Does When a Loved One Passes On

• Deal with all matters regarding the passing of your loved one compassionately and in the strictest confidence
• Collect and transport your loved one to their exclusive mortuary facility that has a beautiful private chapel and tranquil viewing facility in Sandbaai, Hermanus
• Provide dignified care and preparation of the deceased’s remains as per request.
• Deliver professional assistance with funeral arrangements
• Secure the gravesite or crematorium appointment
• Offer fast and efficient service when registering the death with the Department of Home Affairs (with certified copies)
• Attend to all claims for existing funeral policies, regardless of whether they are held with Nashca Funerals
• Collect ashes and ensure their safe return to those left behind

Funeral Cover Packages

Nashca Funerals has a range of funeral cover packages for families, single members with children, and single members without children.

Key Package Highlights:

• No joining fee!
• Premiums are charged per month
• Waiting periods: 6 months for natural causes / 1 month for unnatural causes
• Policyholders from other companies are welcome
• No waiting period applies if your existing policy is older than 6 months

Single Member with Kids:

Nashca Funerals offers custom-designed, exclusive pre-paid funeral and cremation packages for clients aged 70 and older, providing a practical way to plan ahead and ease the burden on loved ones.

Clients receive an in-person one-on-one consultation with Adriaan, ensuring your final wishes are handled with care and understanding.

Each package is tailored to individual needs and preferences, with clear guidance throughout the process.

A reminder from Nashca Funerals:

Death and dying are never easy topics to discuss, but by planning, you can help ease the emotional and financial burden on loved ones in what will undoubtedly be a very difficult time for them.     

Discuss your final wishes with your family and close friends, and if you live in a home for the elderly or a retirement village, give the name of Nashca Funerals to the matron or administration office. 

Planning also means that your final wishes will be honoured, giving you peace of mind in the here and now.
