Wooden Table and Chairs: Before and After
There is something special about taking a piece of wooden furniture that has become weathered and worn, which has lost its beauty - and gradually restoring it. Scraping away at layers of paint, removing the grime, sanding down until the beautiful true wood tones shine through again. Then patiently smoothing and oiling and sealing and finishing, until the wood shines with new life.
Some of my favourite projects have been around restoring deck tables and chairs, because I think of all the happy memories and good times that are shared around a table.
