The chocolate chip cookie just got a very smart little makeover. Fun, colourful and super yum! These cookies will definitely become a favourite sweet treat for your kids, and the recipe is easy enough to let them help you bake.

INGREDIENTS

• 110 g margarine
• 80 g brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 2 tablespoons syrup
• 1 tablespoons vanilla extract
• 180 g self-raising flour
• 110 g Smarties®

METHOD

•  Preheat the oven to 180°C.
•  Combine the margarine and sugar in a large mixing bowl and cream until smooth.
•  Next, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well to make a thick cake-like batter.
•  Scoop big dollops of cookie batter onto a greased and lightly floured cookie tray.
•  Make sure you leave enough space in-between each cookie so that the batter can spread.
•  Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes or until crispy and golden.
•  Leave to cool on a wire rack and store the cookies in an airtight container.
