Recipe: Durban Mutton Curry
If there’s anyone in South Africa that knows how to make a decent curry, it has to be a Durbanite.
A burger recipe for the braai that’s big on flavour and easy to make. The classic homemade burger with bacon.
• 6 OK Choice Burger Patties
• 2 Packets of Bacon
• 1 Jar of Pickles
• 6 Sesame Burger Buns
• Butro
• 1 Packet of Lettuce
• 1 Red Onion
Served with French fries and coleslaw:
• 1 Frozen bag of French Fries
• 1 Bag of Coleslaw Mix
• 1 Bottle of OK Tangy Mayonnaise
1. Grill the OK Choice patties to your desired style on very hot coals.
2. Crisp up the bacon pieces in a skittle on the braai.
3. Place the oven fries in the oven and remove once they’re golden and crispy (or to your preferred fry style).
4. Butter the rolls and put them on the braai to allow them to toast gently.
5. Slice the pickles.
6. Chop the red onion into rings.
7. Combine the coleslaw mix and mayo. Mix and season to taste.
8. You are now ready to begin building your burgers.
** To make these burgers even more delicious, add some of the creamy mushroom sauce to the burger.
