The Overberg Geoscientists Group is a collective of geoscience professionals and enthusiasts dedicated to exploring the Earth's physical structure, from rocks and minerals to geological processes, across the greater Overberg region. The group engages in research, field studies, educational activities, and discussions, about geology, earth sciences, and environmental conservation. Overberg Geoscientists Group activities include weekly presentations via ZOOM, breakfast get-togethers, coffee dates and field trips to rock formations of interest. Members and non-members are invited to join the fun! Passionate about sharing its knowledge, Overberg Geoscientists Group promotes geoscience awareness and collaborates on projects that explore Overberg’s geological features. With this in mind, Overberg Geoscientists Group has executive members who offer guided educational tours on request.

With more than 200 members, the group's activities aim to raise awareness and knowledge about earth sciences among a wide range of people, from the general public to professionals, while focusing on education and preservation.
