Panic Buttons
In the event of an emergency, SECMA International Security Armed Response Officers is just a push of a button away. A panic button can save you valuable time and ensure that you get the assistance when you need it most.
We have noticed in the past months that clients report that their panic buttons does not work and therefore we do not receive their signals.
To eliminate this problem we want to explain what the different panic buttons are and how to operate them.
When pressed, the panic button system sets off your alarm and sends a panic signal to the SECMA Monitoring Centre, which dispatches an Armed Response vehicle, ensuring your property and family gets the protection you need.
The Fixed Panic Button:
This wired panic button sets off your alarm and sends a panic signal to SECMA Monitoring Centre. We then dispatch an Armed Response vehicle for protection. (PLEASE ensure to hold this button in for about 3 seconds or until you hear the alarm sound. In the case of a silent panic, make sure to hold it in for 3 seconds and repeat a second time.)
One Button Remote Panic:
A Panic Remote can be carried anywhere on your property, so you can tell us if there’s danger. In the event of an emergency, press the button and we’ll dispatch our Armed Response team. (Once again, the button should be pressed for about 3 seconds or until you hear the alarm sound. In the case of a silent panic, make sure to hold it in for 3 seconds and repeat a second time.)
ET Remote with Panic:
The ET Remote gives you access to fundamental aspects of your security system at the push of a button. This small key ring device allows you to quickly arm or disarm your existing alarm system, activate the panic button in case of emergency and open your front gate and garage door, all from your key ring. The panic is usually programmed on the red button. (The RED button – or the button that was programmed for your panic - should be pressed for about 3 seconds or until you hear the alarm sound. In the case of a silent panic, make sure to hold it in for 3 seconds and repeat a second time.)
In all instances, the panic button should be kept in long enough to activate the signal to the Monitor Centre. If it is released too soon, no signal will be received.
