- TECH UP - Ensure your WiFi is secured. If you do have a smartphone, you can use it to control your security system from remote.
- HIDE YOUR VALUABLES - If you have a safe, use it to store your valuables, e.g. laptops, jewellery, money and even spare car keys.
- RECORD YOUR VALUABLES - Write down all serial numbers of your technological devices and put somewhere safe.
- PACK IN SECRET - Pretend you’re on a secret mission and do all packing out of sight.
- KEEP EMPTY BOXES OFF CURB - Rather keep empty boxes inhouse and dispose of them when you return from holiday.
- DON’T ADVERTISE YOUR HOLIDAY PLANS - Don’t tell it all on social media platforms; wait until you come back from holiday to post some of the happy pics, to show where you’ve been.
