World Environment Day 2025
Today, June 5th, marks World Environment Day!
Living in Gansbaai is all about enjoying a slower-paced lifestyle, finding parking when you need it and a safer living environment.
And then there is that one thing that sets it apart from other coastal towns, the great outdoors. From scenic beaches to pristine hiking trails, Gansbaai has it all.
Gansbaai estate agent Marlene Uys recently spent some time with her daughter at Die Gruis near Pearly Beach, just outside Gansbaai.
Apart from being a favourite fishing spot with the locals. Die Gruis is also known for its secluded stretch of beach, away from the crowds.
After doing the Gansbaai-nod (a special greeting used by locals) to a couple of fishermen, Marlene spotted something in the dunes. Imagine her surprise when she saw some unexpected visitors enjoying a day out at the ocean. And not just any visitors, these special guests were ostriches! Yes, you read right, ostriches. Like Marlene says, “You never know what you will see when you are out and about in Gansbaai!”
So if you want to know the best places to see ostriches on the beach, or you are keen to buy a house in the Gansbaai area, give Marlene at Seeff a call today!
