Getting Nature and Yourself into the picture

SATURDAY - 25th September, 9am - 5pm
This workshop will give you the chance to play with using organic material (mainly dried leaves) as part of a manual printing process. No experience with printing is required and anyone older than twelve can participate.
You should be able to make at least three prints during the workshop.
All materials and tools will be supplied, as well as a light lunch (cheese and bread).

Handwork and Slab-work for novices

SUNDAY - 26th September, 10am - 3pm
This class teaches the basics of wedging, rolling and shaping clay into vessels without the use of a wheel. Focus will be on learning form, structure and surface finishing techniques.
Finished pieces will be fired and clear-glazed by Sue after the weekend, with collection/delivery to be arranged.
2-5 participants. Includes tea and light lunch as well as all materials.

The Full Sourdough Breadmaking Experience

This fun yet thorough workshop emphasizes the benefits of slow fermentation, wholegrain ingredients, and process consciousness. An advanced understanding of bread-making’s core principles are covered while apprenticing in a fully functional artisan bake-house. Novices and experienced bakers are catered for equally.
The brick oven (3x2m) on the stoep is generous, yet there is limited space in the bakehouse.
Upon confirmation you will receive notes that are best studied before the workshop. Learn an in-depth understanding of writing your own recipes, process consciousness, sourdough fundamentals, and more.
All about the wood-fired process and hands-on experience while eating and having a good time out.
