Thank You WAG & MSAT!
Children's Health and Education..
Build it owners Eddie and Silvana Burger have continually backed us with man power and the ingredients to better our Music and Movement program since the beginning of this year. They have been so personally involved that their son Dylan Burger volunteers his time to help facilitate this initiative on a weekly basis.
Music and Movement functions out of a room, donated by Lomond Wine Estate, which was originally a stable. The room has been beautifully renovated but unfortunately we have not had the means to paint the floor, which until recently has remained untreated concrete. This has affected the children in regards to health issues such as their asthma being affected as well as the cold winters we faced when the children are forced to be more indoors due to the weather.
Build it have outdone themselves by donating paint and rollers in order for us to paint the floor of our classroom. As time passed we could not lock down a day for ourselves to manage moving all of the furniture and painting the floor, as we are mostly women with strong hearts but less strong arms. Dylan Burger initiated a weekend whereby he and his brother, Clayden Burger, organized a group of their friends to come up and move the furniture, do a stock take of materials and layer paint the floor. This was a monumental task that took 3 days to complete.
We could not be more grateful to Dylan, Clayden, all of their friends and Build it for their hard work and dedication. This effort will make a remarkable difference in the operation of the Music and Movement program.
Thank you!
