• Alkohol (dit kan tot vergiftiging lei)
• Xylitol (dit kan ook tot vergiftiging lei)
• Uie (dit veroorsaak 'n ystertekort)

• Chocolate
• Grapes and raisins (these can lead to kidney failure)
• Caffeine
• Milk and cheese (this can lead to severe stomach upsets)
• Alcohol (this can lead to poisoning)
• Xylitol (this can also lead to poisoning)
• Onions (they cause an iron deficiency)
