Here’s a blast from Gansbaai’s past! Take a look at this hilarious vintage photo sent to us by Arend de Waal.
Taken sometime in the 1940s outside the fish and chips shop at the old boarding house, this might actually be one of the earliest “photobombs” ever captured on camera. On the left is the star of the show, Arend’s mom, Suzette! Also in the frame are his ouma and two visiting family members, all blissfully unaware of the shenanigans going on behind them.
A little moment of mischief captured for generations to enjoy! Thank you, Arend!
