Job Role: ICT Officer ( IT Officer or Helpdesk Support)
Location: Hermanus, Western Cape
Salary: R 30 000 cost to company, negotiable
As an ICT Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the technological infrastructure to ensure the seamless operation of their financial systems. This is a hands-on position where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, contribute to strategic initiatives, and make a real impact on our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address ICT needs.
• ICT induction and training for new hires and exit procedures for leavers
• Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and cyber security issues promptly.
• Implement and optimize ICT policies and procedures.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Network support.
• Maintain accurate records of assets, configurations, and support activities.
• Cyber security and company firewall administration.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (e.g CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Admin associate)
• Proven experience in ICT roles (minimum 5 years), preferably within the financial industry, including experience with Cyber Security.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, security protocols, and system troubleshooting.
• Proficient in hardware and software installation and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
