Self-catering Cottage

This unit comprises 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 persons at a time.

The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower in a bath. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed with an en-suite toilet & shower. The third bedroom has 2 single beds and shares the main bedrooms bathroom.

Accommodation

The Main Cottage

The kitchen is equipped with everything guests will need for self-catering including a built-in braai, kettle, gas stove with electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and enough cutlery for 6 people. The kitchen and dining area is part of an open plan with an extra flat screen TV. The lounge holds comfortable seating with a fireplace, full HD DStv & a DVD player.

Guests are also offered free Wi-Fi during their stay. Other features include a washing machine, ironing facilities, ping-pong, darts and much more. On the patio there’s an outside braai and seating for 6. There’s a couple of play structures for toddlers on the lawn.

Rates (Oct 2016 - Sept 2017)

  • 1 - 2 guests: R1200/night
  • 3 - 4 guests: R1500/night
  • 5 - 6 guests: R1800/night        

15% off on accommodation longer than 10 nights.

Activities

Horse Riding

Please ask for our special horse riding tariffs if you’re staying at our cottages. If you own your own horse and wish to bring your mate along to come and explore the many routes that we have to offer, stabling and pasture's can be arranged at extra cost. Please note the Hemel and Aarde Valley falls under the AHS (African Horse sickness) zone, so please be sure to have all vaccinations up to date.

Mountain Biking 

There are many kilometres of excellent mountain biking trails for you to enjoy. Please bring your own bikes and equipment. Please note that mountain biking is at your own risk.

Hiking Trail 

At own risk. Whether in need of some exercise or just a stroll, we have the perfect environment for you to do either.

Dam, Swimming and Water Sports 

Nothing beats pure, crisp mountain water after a summer day’s horse riding. Our dam is perfect for swimming and is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the cottage. Please remember to pack your swimming gear such as towels, sunblock and any other water sports equipment.

Board Games

Enjoy a break from the blare of television and rediscover the fun of board games. We have chess, Monopoly and Cluedo ready and waiting. Colonel Mustard in the hall with the candlestick, anyone?
