HERTZ RENT A CAR operates as an international franchisee of the global Hertz Corporation throughout Southern Africa. Hertz International is the largest car rental company in the world with over 10 000 locations spread across 150 countries. Hertz is proud to celebrate over 100 years of car rental excellence and continues to set the global standard for the transport and car rental industry. We are proud to be a division of CFAO Motors Pty Ltd, a major vehicle dealer group that operates across a network of over 80 dealerships and specializes in a broad range of motor and related products and services: from the sale of new and used passenger cars and commercial vehicles to vehicle service, parts and accessories.
Hertz currently has over 42 branches strategically located at major hubs throughout South Africa. Hertz has five locations in Namibia (Ondangwa Airport, Walvis Bay Airport, Windhoek Airport and Windhoek Downtown). The Hertz brand has a strong presence at five strategic locations in Botswana (Gaborone Airport, Gaborone Downtown, Kasane Airport, Maun Airport and Francistown Airport). Hertz Rent a Car South Africa has been operating in South Africa since 1997. We have a total of 49 locations which consist of 21 airport locations and 28 off airport branches across the nine provinces.
Hertz is permitted to promoting awareness of environmental issues, and Hertz is in the process of implementing a best practice environmental management policy throughout all of our operations. The roll-out of this policy will see the introduction of enviroacceptable best practices that will benefit the environment and also our stakeholders, employees and the community at large. At Hertz, our ultimate goal is to reduce our carbon footprint however and wherever possible; to minimize our use of South Africa’s increasingly strained water and energy resources; to curb and contain our waste output.
