Payment of Non-Traffic Violation Fines

Non-traffic violation fines, also known as Sec 56 Notices (J534) and Sec 54 Summonses (J175) may be paid in person over the counter or via EFT.

 
PAYMENT IN PERSON:

You may pay your non-traffic violation fine in person at the cashier at the Kleinmond, Stanford or Gansbaai Administrations before the court date and/or at the Overstrand Additional Court from 08:00 - 15:00 (lunch break between 13:00 - 13:45), Monday to Fridays, before and after the court date.

 
PAYMENT ONLINE:

You may pay your non-traffic violation fine online into the Overstrand Municipality primary bank account.

Please transfer the correct amount and use the full fine or summons number as reference.

It is important that the correct details are entered when making EFT payments.

REPRESENTATIONS:

You may dispute fines for non-traffic violations, in writing, within 30 days of receiving the fine.

A letter or email along with a clear legible copy of the notice and documentary proof (license etc.) would be sufficient.

The representation forms/letters can be delivered to the Additional Court in Harmony Lane in Hermanus during office hours; alternatively send an email to jwilkinson@overstrand.gov.za or ylemmer@overstrand.gov.za
