Healing After Narcissistic Abuse: Rebuild Sel...
You’ve given so much - your time, energy, and love - to what felt like a bottomless pit.
It is easy to say thank you for the gift, the morning, the help you received, and a multitude of other things. Once you have expressed your gratitude you move along to wherever your attention goes.
I want to challenge you today to be truly grateful for what you see, receive, hear, can hold, etc.
Let us take the shoes on our feet. Thank you that I have two feet, with all ten toes. Thank you that I have legs, well-developed muscles, a fully functioning brain, and parents who took the time and patience to teach me to walk. Eyes to see your feet, the discoveries you've been on because you had feet to walk. Now go down that line.
Then start with the shoes. That they are comfortable. Remember the factory where they were manufactured? Thank you for the people who made it, the owner of the factory who invested their money and took a chance on following their dream. That there is enough money to pay the staff. Now carry on.
If it is leather shoes, then go down that path. If it is not, then go down that path.
Now move to the transport. Then to the shop where you bought it. Now to the cupboard where you store it. Then onto the joy you experience because your feet are protected and comfortable.
How deep and far can you go with your next THANK YOU?
