Healing After Narcissistic Abuse: Rebuild Sel...
You’ve given so much - your time, energy, and love - to what felt like a bottomless pit.
There is a scientifically proven concept called "Placebo". In the case of medicine it is the belief that even though you might receive a "sugar pill", you are under the impression that the pill is the "true" medication and that it's working for you. You are healed from your ailment. (Some people so strongly believe that they received the "real" medicine that they keep denying having been given the placebo medication even when it is proven that they received the placebo medication.)
There is also a counter concept called Nocebo. This is the belief that you will become ill or that you have an illness that no medical doctor or specialist can diagnose. Eventually they may say they cannot identify the illness or to the anger of the patient that it is all in their head. The patient will show real symptoms, low energy, pains and fevers. Extensive blood tests, etc. will reveal nothing. Yet the patient is gravely ill.
If the Placebo effect can be so impactful and measurable, then it would stand to that the opposite is also true. We live on a planet where we understand that "for every action there is an equal and opposite action."
Now imagine you apply this to everything in your life. If you belief that you are not good enough, then for the same energy you can belief that you are amazing. If you belief that things will not work out for you, then for the same energy you can belief that everything is happening for your greater good.
What will you choose to belief today? What is your opposite and equal counter belief to your negative belief? What would you like your reality to represent? You can create that reality. Are you willing and ready?
