Fast Tip: Don't Water Down Paint

One of our most FAQs is: Can I dilute my paint to achieve more coverage? The answer is NO.

Paint should never be diluted with water. Diluting paint will compromise many of the paint's properties such as scrubbability, stain resistance, opacity, and adhesion strength and it changes the colour by making it lighter.

What's more, watered-down paint also causes inconsistencies, especially when the water and paint are poorly mixed. Finally, it's also less UV-resistant, more prone to chalking, and will not last as long.
