Spring Self-Sufficiency Workshop

Good Luck Cottage & Graze Cafe

During the workshop, you will experience keeping chickens & rabbits, including slaughtering, skinning and plucking (optional), and how to garden and grow your own organic veggies, herbs and fruit. We will share fascinating insight into the world of the Cape Honeybee and the basic principles of beekeeping.

We will spend a day in the kitchen cooking, bottling and preserving our seasonal produce, learning the alchemy of salting, pickling and fermenting.

It also includes tea & lunch every day and a farm-life inspired dinner at Graze on Friday night. Local accommodation discounts for course attendees so email for more info. Prices are R1100 per day or R3000 for all 3 days.

Saturday Sunset Visits

Come and enjoy the evening with your loved ones as the sun sets and the cats come alive after a long day of rest! Sunset is a magical time of day here at Panthera Africa, and we love sharing this enchanted time with our four-legged friends! We would like to invite you to join in this unique experience and if you’re lucky, you may even hear and see the lions roar!

Only for people 16 years and older. Pre-bookings essential! Only 20 places available for this experience so book now to avoid disappointment.

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Cost: R 490 per person

Can't make it on a Saturday? We can arrange a special sunset visit for you and your loved ones on another evening in the week. Please book 3-4 days in advance. Subject to availability. 

We offer regular educational visits twice a day at 10:00 and 15:00. Pre-bookings only. We are open every day except Tuesdays.  

Panthera Africa is a non-profit company and all proceeds from ticket sales go towards the animals and creating a better life for them.

Walk your dog on a leash around scenic Stanford and raise funds for Stanford Animal Welfare Society. R30 for dogs, owner’s free. Tickets will be on sale at the Stanford Vet Clinic from 1 September.

Full Moon Walk

Join us in our monthly full moon walk in aid of Buzzy Bees upgrade. R30 adults, R10 kids and dogs walk for free. A complimentary drink will be served.

Wednesday & Thursday evenings from 18:00 - 19:00. R80 participation for a full month, 8 classes. The past weeks we grew from 21 to over 40 participants and we would love to grow more.
