Onrus Artist Blue de Gersigny Plastic Waste Art

Meet Blue de Gersigny, a talented artist from Onrus, Hermanus.

Blue is a beach plastic activist and has a passion for using art as a tool for social change. Discarded cable ties, bottle caps, and plastic fragments become her raw materials. These are reshaped into unique artworks that speak quietly but powerfully about the ocean’s burden of human waste and everyday consumption.

When Blue isn’t foraging for plastic or creating her latest statement piece, you can find her trading at the Hermanus Country Market on Saturdays.

Contact Blue on 082 253 5711 (call or WhatsApp) for more information about her work or to arrange a private studio visit.
