The Overberg town of Hermanus is well-known as being a popular holiday destination due to its array of outdoor activities and beautiful Blue Flag Beaches. And now to top it off, during the month of June, the bustling town puts its best creative foot forward as well!

From the 10th to the 19th of June (this year) Hermanus showcases the best of the best when it comes to creative creations from local artists, photographers, musicians, sculptors and performers with the Hermanus FynArts.

A great number of venues in Hermanus host the avant-garde artworks including various art galleries and studios, church halls, luxury accommodation, eateries and even stretching to the famous Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. There is also the stunning Sculptures on the Cliffs which can be viewed at the Village Square with the backdrop of Walker Bay. The event includes an inspiring line-up of exhibitions, jewellery, photography, sculptures, ceramics, paintings, thread art and musical performances.

The artists include the likes of Alta Botha, Caroline Schulz Vieira, Bill Davis, Catherine Brennon, Dale Lambert, Florian Junge, Janko de Beer, Jimmy Law, Lionel Smit, Kristin Hua Yang, Kagiso Pat Mautloa, Amanda Strydom, the Cape Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and many more.
