New Energy and Exciting Developments at L’Agulhas Bowling Club

L’Agulhas / Struisbaai: There is a fresh breeze and great excitement underway at the L’Agulhas Bowling Club. As a club deeply rooted in the local community, we continuously strive to improve our facilities and offerings. We are thrilled to share some major changes and milestones with the residents of our towns.

A New Era for Sport: The Padel Court Has Arrived! In a very exciting development, Padelgo Struisbaai’s brand-new Padel court has now been officially installed at the bowling club. This new addition significantly expands our sports offerings and provides the community with an even wider variety of recreational and fitness options for the future.

Beautiful Growth in Membership: The L’Agulhas Bowling Club is currently experiencing a very positive growth phase. Since the beginning of the year, 22 new members have already joined the club after coming for coaching. This influx of new talent and energy is clear proof that lawn bowls is a sport for everyone and that our club offers a welcoming home where people feel at ease.

Facility Upgrades: To ensure that our members and visitors enjoy the best possible experience, the club’s infrastructure has recently received a major boost. A beautiful new entertainment stoep (veranda/deck) has been built. This area has been specially designed for pleasant socialising and relaxing with fellow club members, family, and friends.

Flexible Membership and Unique Benefits: The L’Agulhas Bowling Club offers a wide range of membership options to suit everyone’s needs - from fully affiliated members to social members. As a major bonus, full membership of the Bowling Club now automatically includes membership benefits of the Padel Club.

Ideal Venue for Functions: With the new upgrades, the clubhouse and facilities of the Bowling and Padel clubs are now the ideal destination for corporate events, team-building sessions, as well as private social functions. The clubhouse is also fully licensed.

Agulhas Making Its Mark Provincially: It’s not just locally where things are thriving; L’Agulhas Bowling Club is also making big waves in the broader bowling community. Several of our club members currently hold important leadership roles on the executives of Overberg, Boland, and Western Cape Bowling. We are particularly proud of this representation, which keeps our club’s name held high.
