L'Agulhas Bowls Club - Meet and Greet

The L'Agulhas Bowls Club is enjoying an exciting and heartening season, with a wonderful increase in membership bringing new life and energy to the club. This growth is especially encouraging for the sport of bowls, as many of the new members are younger players who are eager to learn, participate and become part of the club’s friendly community.

To celebrate and welcome these new faces, a special meet and greet was held on 10 June after the usual afternoon of playing tabs. It was a relaxed and cheerful occasion, giving everyone a chance to spend time together off the green and strengthen the bonds that make club life so meaningful.

During the proceedings, the Vice President, Hercules Myburgh, welcomed the new members and presented each of them with a membership badge. This small but special gesture symbolised their official place within the L'Agulhas Bowls Club family and was received in the true spirit of friendship and belonging.

The afternoon continued with a social gathering where longtime members and new members could chat, share stories and get to know one another better. It was a reminder that bowls is not only about competition on the green, but also about friendship, support and the joy of being part of a welcoming community.
