Her emotional and sensorial experiences influence the colours on her palette and the brushstrokes that she uses. Rouvé adds that she would like to think that the images appearing in her work, convey an emotional expression rather than a realistic reproduction of what she sees. This means that her paintings are one-offs, and cannot be repeated or commissioned. These creations are not the result of a cognitive process but come from her very soul.
